D.Min. Alums, Mentor,
and Student Attend Aging Conference

Two United Doctor of Ministry alums, a current student and mentor Dr. Richard Haid recently attended the Joint Aging Conference, held in Chicago on March 7-10. The students are Rev. Dr. Patricia Reiger, ’06, of Chicago, Rev. Dr. Robert Tyndall, ’06 of Springboro, OH, and Rev. Robert Ashburn of Dayton, who will graduate in December of 2007. All three were a part of Dr. Haid’s Ministry to the Elderly focus group.

In the photos, Bob Tyndall (left) and Bob Ashburn present their doctoral research project, and Pat Reiger shows a poster that details her project. All intend to attend the conference next year in Washington, DC. This is the fifth time Dr. Haid has attended and led workshops at this conference. This year he led two workshops, “Rethinking Aging to Find More Joy in Celebration” and “Do You Want to Just Rearrange, or Do You Want to Expand Your Life for Abundance in the Third Quarter of Life?”

Our friend Dick Haid offers you a free one-hour tele-workshop to learn to lead your own local workshops on "How to Give No-Cost Christmas Gifts." His goal is to help you and others have a more satisfying Christmas - and other gift-giving holidays too. This is even better than playing Santa Claus for the family down the block and it works for young and old, those with or without jobs, and those with very little and those with a lot of money.

His easy-to-lead workshops cover making your gifts more meaningful by giving a gift of yourself. Discover things about your unique ability to create special gifts for others. Some of these gifts may last through the year.

He offers advice, materials and encouragement plus your own posters and gift certificates that he will send to workshop participants. His no-cost gift to you is the workshop training and materials and no-cost consultation after your training.
